Meet Dr. Lida Alimorad

Hello and welcome to Wilmington Pediatric Dentistry! My name is Dr. Lida Alimorad, a board-certified pediatric dentist dedicated to providing comprehensive dental care for children of all ages, including those with special needs. My services range from new patient exams and infant care to emergency treatment, sedation, and hospital dentistry.

Born in Iran, my journey into pediatric dentistry began when I was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 18. I immigrated to the United States for treatment, during which I underwent chemotherapy and radiation that significantly impacted my oral health. My experiences with compassionate pediatric dentists during this challenging time inspired me to pursue a career in the field, allowing me to provide the same level of care and support to my patients.

I obtained my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2010 in Baltimore, Maryland. Following that, I completed a two-year postdoctoral training program in pediatric dentistry at Nemours Children’s Hospital. As a pediatric dentist, I am passionate about my work and take great joy in interacting with children. My goal is to help them build trust, overcome dental anxiety, and cultivate beautiful, healthy smiles that will last a lifetime.
